TEXAS camp great success: Perhaps the greatest moments on my travels along the AVP are when I am able to work with kids and teach them the new things I have learned along my AVP journey. Just seeing kids improve and love the game still inspires me. My wonderful college roommate, Janae, invited me to Frisco, TX to run a camp with some kids in the area at a brand new $14 million facility! It was the most impressive gym I have seen in a long time. (http://www.fieldhouseusa.com/ ) However more impressive was the amazing attitudes, work ethics and respect from all the kids I got to work with. It was incredibly refreshing! They worked so hard, did everything I ask of them, and even said "yes mam" after I told them something! I had to pinch myself a few times wondering if these kids were real?? I wish I could put a little Texas in every kid I coach! Even all the men there open all my doors and were super polite... I might be looking into moving there!! Ha ha!! Just kidding!! Not only were the kids great, but had a wonderful time connecting with my old roommate and good friend, Janae. We had a lot of fun together!
